The following local students have been named to the Deans' and President's Lists at Drake University.To be eligible for the Deans' List, students must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the Fall 2022 semester at Drake.To be eligible for the President's List, students must have earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Fall 2022 semester at Drake.Drake University is a midsize, private university in Des Moines, Iowa, enrolling nearly 3,000 undergraduate and more than 1,800 graduate students.

Community Foundation of NE Iowa’s Scholarship Application Deadline March 8
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa’s (CFNEIA) 2023 scholarship application deadline is 8:00 p.m. on March 8. Students may apply for scholarships available through CFNEIA at www.cfneia.org/scholarships. CFNEIA awarded $635,781 in scholarships to high school, college and adult students in 2022. A total of 277 scholarships were awarded to students pursuing higher education opportunities and the average amount awarded was $2,295.

Once again, Benton Soil & Water Conservation District (Benton SWCD) will be recognizing up to three students interested in conservation and agriculture by offering scholarships. Benton County High School Class of 2023 students pursuing programs of study in any field of conservation or agriculture are eligible for the Conservation Scholarship. While many college majors qualify, preference will be given to students pursuing programs of study in conservation.
